You can use this tool to send a ping to Technorati and Ping-o-matic for every backlink on a URL. Is there anything worse than getting a link, but the person who gave you the link hasn't pinged the services? Never again!

You're going to need to install Imacros, a well known Internet Macros platform. Just go to the page, click Download (it's at the top), and follow the instructions to download and install Imacros Version 6. You'll get a 30-day trial for free, or become a registered user of Promote My Site and you'll get access to our runtime player key. The player will allow you to run Imacros that someone else has written, but if you're doing real Search Engine Optimization, you'll really want to consider buying the full version of the tool. It absolutely rocks.

Once you've installed Imacros, just enter a URL in the space provided. You'll get back a .IIM file. Just tell your browser to open the file with Imacros and it will start to run. If you want to see what it's doing, just save it to disk and take a look. You can run the script from the player too.

This tool uses the Yahoo! search API to find backlinks using AJAX in your browser. Since the API limits queries to 5,000/day per IP address and 100 results per query, doing this on the server quickly runs into trouble. Instead, we let your browser do the work and use AJAX to upload the results to our database, which then generates the final code. We delete the links from our tables (in the free version) once we've done the processing.
